Hatteras – A Model Corporate Citizen

Hatteras has been recognized over its history for employing the handicapped. At one time, the North Carolina School for the Blind taught hammock weaving to students with the assistance of Hatteras employees. Many of these students went on to open hammock companies of their own. One former student of the school, Mr. Lenwood Haddock, is currently a Hatteras employee. Mr. Haddock is one of the top weavers of the company, averaging 80 hammocks per week!
